Vote for <blank>
A downloadable game
Gather some friends, or better still some enemies, and create a group of horrible candidates that you nevertheless vote for. You will randomly generate candidates, and each player plays a candidate in turn, making statements about player-created issues. Does a candidate for the governor of Mars think that "there is a lack of water on Mars" is best responded to by "it's good for the economy"? Does a candidate for "the person to go pick up pizza tonight" think that "We need to impose a tax on this" is the answer to "what's the fastest route to Dino's Diner"?
Prompts are vaguely balanced and intended to be playable by groups with diverse political views, and is intended as satire about the lack of choice faced by almost everyone on the political spectrum.
Best played with a copy of the pamphlet and a pen or pencil for each player, and a die to share - but in a pinch you can use smaller scraps of paper for the details of each candidate. It's best printed out and scribbled on!
Use "Vote for Blank - landscape.pdf" to view on devices such as computers, phones, and tablets. Use "Vote for Blank - z fold.pdf" if you are going to print it and want to make it look like a nice little pamphlet that you might get in a mass mail drop.
